Do you want to host a checkpoint in the Freshman Adventure?

The Freshman Adventure, organised by HYY, is an interdisciplinary event where 3,000 people dive into the world of the Student Union, its organisations and close cooperation partners. Hosting a checkpoint is a fun way of introducing your organisation and its activities to new students.

To sign up to host a checkpoint, fill in the form at http://www.en.fuksiseikkailu.fi/signup/. Please sign up by 31 July.

Sign up for the Opening Carnival!

The Opening Ceremony of the academic year and the Opening Carnival will be celebrated on Monday, 5 September. According to the Rector's decision, teaching has not been organised in the afternoon of the opening day in previous years, and this will probably be the case this year, too. Therefore everyone at the University can participate both in the Opening Ceremony at 12noon and the Opening Carnival from 2pm to 6pm if they wish to do so. The more specific programme of the opening day will be published on the HYY website at the end of August.

The organisations within HYY and university units can introduce their activities for thousands of students during the Opening Carnival. This is an excellent opportunity to gain new enthusiastic members for organisational activities! You can register with the following form by 12noon on 8 August: https://www.lyyti.fi/reg_2016/Avajaiskarnevaalit_592016_5828/en
