Grant for the Student Union related research

26.04.2013

The Old Student House Support Foundation (VYTS) was founded in 1978 for the fire repairs of the Old Student House. The support foundation closely cooperates with the Student Union of the University of Helsinki (HYY) and the HYY Group. VYTS declares that students can apply for a grant which is allocated for research related to the Student Union of the University of Helsinki, its operations or the properties owned by it.

The grant is mainly aimed for students who are at the Master´s thesis stage, but it can also be granted for research at the Bachelor level or for other work not related to the university degree if its topic is closely connected with the restoration, display or history of art objects in the Student Houses. The maximum amount of the grant is 500 euro. The receiver of the grant commits to provide a bound copy of the completed work and to present one’s work to the Board of the Foundation.

The free-form application must include the applicant’s name and contact information. The plan and schedule for research and the clarification on studies must be attached to the application. The applications are delivered to the Foundation’s representative (address Mannerheimintie 5 A, 2nd floor, 00100 Helsinki) or kirjaamo(at)hyy.fi on 15 May 2013 at the latest.
